thomas sadoski

thomas sadoski-2Sadoski started his award-winning stage career as an understudy to Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in Off-Broadway's production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically reviewed production This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. [3] It marked the first of many productions with the company based in New York. He has been in numerous Broadway and Off Broadway productions as well as many productions at regional theaters. In 2008, he played the part of Greg in Neil LaBute's play reasons to be pretty for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a run on Off Broadway that was sold out the play was moved to Broadway in April 2009. It received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. [6] Neil LaBute gives credit to Sadoski for the noted shift in tone and the reasons for being attractive that was influenced by the playwright's earlier work. "His own thoughtfulness as well as his good nature and heart help me to not rely on anything I've done before," he said. My plays are dark. I always thought that was the way of life in real life, that there was always a shade of gray, but the actor helped me recognize different colors within the palette." He played the role in Trip Wyeth, Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. For the role, he was awarded an Obie Award as well as a Lucille Lortel Award. The show (which, also after sold out Off-Broadway run, was transferred to Broadway in November 2011) was named the Best New Off-Broadway Play by the Outer Critics Circle in 2011. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
